About Us:
2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team on a full time, permanent contract, with hybrid working.
Financial management is essential to our company’s performance, and your role will be pivotal in driving our growth and success. As a Finance Business Partner, you will support the Financial Controller, business leaders, and managers by taking a hands-on approach to the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
You will provide strategic financial advice to the senior leadership team on all matters related to our financial activities and operating models for key services. Additionally, you will be financially accountable for managing the end-to-end financial processes.
The role
A key requirement is to work very closely with the internal stakeholders and external clients (EKHUFT) to ensure that they can gain assurance around the financial information provided to them.
The post holder will be required to work effectively at all levels of the business, including deputising for the Financial Controller where appropriate.
Financial Management
Lead Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts for departments, review performance with divisional budget holders, and collaborate with departments to ensure they understand the figures and the quality of the information. Prepare detailed commentaries to explain the results.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses for financial opportunities, analysing financial information to enhance business profitability and efficiency. Contribute to the company’s financial strategy and decision-making process.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the departmental budgeting and forecasting process and contribute to the company’s annual budgeting and planning. Provide budget analysis and commentary, and develop accurate forecasting models.
Expert Financial Advice: Provide expert financial advice to departmental Directors and Senior Management. Offer business and financial support to the Director of Finance, Financial Controller, and senior management team, including day-to-day financial control, reporting, and support for long-term strategic planning.
Financial Control
Improve Accounting Processes: Review and improve accounting processes and practices to ensure efficient financial operations.
Provision Accounting: Account for the company’s provisions in line with accounting regulations and produce a monthly summary.
Intragroup Transactions: Liaise with the parent company’s finance department for intragroup transactions and consolidation of the trial balance (balance sheet).
Financial Reporting and Supplementary Information
- Coordinate the provision of information to external accountants and auditors.
- Review, update and compose financial procedure notes in relation to role.
- Complete Office for National Statistics returns where relevant.
- Ensure that all returns for ad hoc specifics are made as and when required.
The Person
- Qualified accountant, CIMA / ACCA /ACA
- Financial Accountant, Commercial Accountant or Finance Business Partner or similar Level experience.
- Experience of detailed bookkeeping and accounting entries
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities, along with a meticulous and methodical approach
- Sound business knowledge.
- Awareness of Company development and associated financial changes
