2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dietitian to join our team as a key resource for nutrition and dietetics within the Catering department. You will play a critical role in ensuring our food and drink services meet healthcare nutrition and hydration standards for patients, staff, and visitors. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Catering, Dietetics, Speech & Language Therapy, and Nursing, to develop and enhance food services that are both safe and aligned with best practices.
The role is based at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford but travel/presence is required at our other sites in East Kent, including the QEQM Hospital in Margate and the Kent & Canterbury. This is a part time, permanent position working 18 hours per week (there is flexibility on the working pattern along with Hybrid working)

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all patient nutritional and therapeutic dietary needs are met within regulatory and contractual guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Nutrition & Dietetics department to ensure food services are tailored to patient needs, including special dietary requirements.
- Act as an advocate for patients with unique dietary needs, ensuring their voice is heard in food service decisions.
- Lead patient menu reviews, ensuring all diet coding and allergen information meets national standards and that religious, cultural, and therapeutic dietary needs are respected.
- Keep up to date with current nutritional standards, guidelines, and legislation to ensure compliance across food services.
- Provide expertise in food service audits, menu analysis, and dietary training for the catering and frontline teams.
- Work with external partners in the food supply chain to ensure adherence to hospital food standards.
- Contribute to the improvement of food service for staff and visitors, aligning with Government Buying Standards for Food and health recommendations like the Eatwell Guide.
- Assist in the implementation and management of a digital patient meal ordering system, focusing on nutritional and allergen safety.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce food waste and improve service efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- HCPC Registered Dietitian with a degree or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics (essential).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience (desirable).
- Experience in leadership, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with recipe analysis software and nutritional data interpretation.
- Experience within a healthcare setting and food service provision for diverse patient needs is advantageous.
