2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.


This is a part time, permanent role working Saturday and Sundays.


As a Kitchen Porter, will be supporting the team in delivering exceptional Catering services, ensuring high attention levels are given to hygiene and health & safety standards within the kitchens at all times. If you are looking for a rewarding and physically active role, whereby you will be a vital part of the hospital team, showing good communication skills, initiative and self-motivation in your work, apply today for consideration.


Main duties of the job

  • You will be responsible for the tidy and hygienic upkeep of the food preparation and serving areas alongside your colleagues at all times.
  • Clean catering and service equipment including floors, work surfaces, and related equipment manually and by use of machine to hygiene standards.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in your work area and apply the food safety procedures applicable in work area.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality and 2gether Support Solutions policies and procedures and all documentation and work records are completed accurately.
  • Correctly use and take care of all equipment and materials associated with tasks and immediately report any faults to a Team Leader.
  • Store goods correctly and use stock on a rotational basis to optimise sales and minimise food wastage
  • Participate as a full member of the team, e.g. supporting and training other staff, participating in team meetings, working flexibly as required to cover other members of the team
