Job Introduction

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist to join our Facilities team based at QEQM Hospital, Margate. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff at the hospital, welcoming and directing visitors across the hospital whilst providing a helpful and professional front of house reception service in a polite and informative manner.

This is a permanent, part time position, working 7 hours per week, Thursday and Friday 3:30pm - 7pm.

The role

  • Ensuring all enquiries are dealt with promptly whilst ensuring visitors receive the assistance they require
  • Co-ordinate security and admin tasks, including lost property, key management, and first line response to accommodation queries
  • Provide an efficient administration service, including additional administration duties as required
  • Undertake Fire Warden duties
  • Protect the confidentiality of patients
  • Treat all patients, visitors and staff with dignity and respect
  • Promote effective communication to ensure information is shared easily between EKHUFT, partners and the public.

The person

  • Gain knowledge of site layout, local area and common medical terminology
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm when in a high pressure/emergency situation
  • Excellent organisation skills 
  • Telephone and computer skills including use of software packages ie Microsoft outlook 
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality protocols
  • Previous customer service and administration experience
